Dear Parents and Guardians:
We are very excited to have our Grade 2 and 3 classes participate in an Artist-in-Residency with One World Drumming. The vision of One World Drumming is:
The art of drumming improves our understanding of the arts, mathematics, language, social interaction & personhood. Drumming simultaneously feeds mind, body & spirit. One World Drum Co. is a professional music school offering classes for all ages, sexes, abilities with the intent that one rhythm at a time we can change the world.
The residency for Grade 2 and 3 students will occur from September 11-15th. During this residency, students will participate in daily drumming instruction. On Friday, September 15th, parents and caregivers are invited to join us for a sharing of the student’s work from the week. Families are encouraged to attend the class that their child(ren) is in.
