First Week of School!

Highlights:

-We did "Race to the Flat" - Maycee

-We did two maker challenges: paper chain challenge and marshmallow challenge. - Aishwarya

-We had a Welcome Back Assembly. - Jenny
-We had our first gym. - Henry
-We wrote in our visual journals about character traits. - Chloe
-Today is our first Friday. We had a Circle of Courage meeting. - Eva
-We wrote in our Friday journals for the first time. - Naumika
-We read "The Book with No Pictures" - Dane
-We read the book "We're All Wonders" - Lindsay

Reminders:
-Friday journals are coming home today! Please read, respond to, and return this journal on Monday. Our Friday journals will be completed at the end of each week, and need to be returned at the start of each week.

-Snacks: Bring two snacks and a lunch each day. On Fridays, we have an early dismissal. This day runs through the regular lunch hour, so students should have two snacks on this day to provide them with the energy they need for learning!

-Labels: Please label your belongings (coats, lunch kits, shoes, etc). This makes it easier for items to be returned to the correct student.

- On Tuesday (September 12th), we have a special assembly. Beakerhead is coming for an assembly to present! It will be very exciting assembly. If you have a blue Royal Oak Shirt, please wear it to the assembly.

-Next Friday (September 15th) we have a Safety Assembly. Please wear your Royal Oak Blue to the assembly.

-Conferences are on September 21st and 22nd. We will provide more information about how to book shortly!
